On Saturday, 3rd of October 2015, the hospital of the Organization Doctors without Borders (MSF) in Kunduz region, Afghanistan was bombarded. This attack led to the death of nineteen people, twelve of whom were staff members of MSF, and to the injury of many others.
Doctors of the World – Greece condemn such unacceptable acts which consist a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law as well as of the ethics code regarding the provision of humanitarian aid. Once again, Doctors of the World emphasize the urgent need to protect on an international level all sites providing healthcare services and those who work in them.
We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to the administration and members of the organization Doctors without Borders.
