As part of Médecins du Monde’s cooperation with the Hellenic Medical Students International Committee (Helmsic), a lecture was held, on Saturday, 18th o May, 2013,  at the offices of Médecins du Monde on the subject: “Medical Ethics – Penal and Civil Liability of Greek Physicians”. The speaker for the lecture was Physician/Surgeon Mr Georgios Kassaras, who is a member of Médecins du Monde’s governing committee, as well as scientific director of the Open Polyclinic and regular member of the disciplinary board of Athens Medical Association. 

We have the pleasure to invite you to a conference at the European Parliament office in Athens (Amalias Avenue 8) on Friday, May 31 2013. This expert and policy-making conference will be centered on “How we can provide access to affordable medicines in Greece?”

The victim (14 years old)  is supported by Doctors of the World-Greek Delegation in the framework of the action ENOUGH!  (an action dedicated to the promotion of tolerance of  diversity and prevention of racist violence in Greece which is realized in collaboration with the Greek Council for Refugees).Follows the  video-testimony of the young victim. 

The school group Adamantios – Kalamari of Thessaloniki, will hold the Spring Celebration on Sunday, May 19th of 2013, from 11:00am to 8:00pm.

The Volunteer Emergency Rescue Team ( E.D.O.K) in collaboration with the Volunteer Fire Brigade of Nea Makri will conduct the 5th Pan-Hellenic Rescue Exercise  on  17-18-19th  of May 2013, at Neos Voutzas in Agios Andreas.

Hatha Yoga & Pilates Studio holds a special Easter event at 7:15PM, on Wednesday, April 24th. Come to attend a two-hour yoga class, by the instructors of our studio. The session is open to students of all ability levels. After all, the point of this class is its great cause.

METApolis and Friends of Monde’s invite you to their Easter Bazaar, which will be held on Saturday, April 20th, 2013, at METApolis area with a view to supporting the hospital and the school of the Monde village of Uganda in Africa. At the bazaar, amongst other things you will find traditional items of Ugandan culture, gifts and local products as well as handicrafts made by children and Friends of Monde, such as paintings, decorations, cookies, Easter candles etc. Photographs, shot by the members of METApolis photographers team, will also be available for sale at the bazaar while videos and pictures from Monde village will be projected. Friends of Monde will be there to discuss and share their experiences from Monde with you.
