While fighting intensifies, we stand alongside the people of Mali
The situation in northern Mali, as in the whole country, has deteriorated sharply in recent days, with the resumption of hostilities and bombing of several localities. The teams of Doctors of the World wish to stand alongside the people despite the more difficult working conditions.
MdM’s Report on the Homeless Population, in Sight of Rough Weather Conditions, as part of the Action Plan of the Athens Municipality Reception and Solidarity Center (KYADA) and NGOsAs a continuation to their Homeless Mobile Unit action, Médecins du Monde inform homeless people who turn to MdM Clinics, as well as individuals they track down with their Mobile Medical Unit, about the Friendship Clubs where homeless people can find temporary shelter during the expected inclement weather conditions.
Médecins du Monde appeal for volunteer doctors of all disciplines, yet mainly cardiologists, ophthalmologists, pediatricians, general practitioner, gynecologists and dermatologists who are willing to offer their medical services at the Open Polyclinics of Médecins du Monde or to man the Medical Mobile Units in missions within Greece.
The Federation of Cypriot Organizations in Greece(OKOE) and the Union of Cypriots in Greece(EKE) work in collaboration with MdM on providing medical and pharmaceutical aid to members of the Cypriot community who are in need.
