Prior to the concert “Music Box” offers public the chance to learn about and get acquainted with the work and efforts of teams and organizations whose sole aim is to lend substantial assistance to people who are in need. It is also a unique opportunity to get to know other teams and organizations principally aimed at providing aid and rescuing tormented animals and endangered species. Let us introduce you to these people who, clear of any financial, political or other interests, work hard to make world a better place. It is our way to express our gratitude to these real-life heroes with whom we share the common vision to change the world. These Organizations are:
“Médecins du Monde“, which is an independent, international, humanitarian, Non Governmental Organization. Médecins du Monde-Greece was founded in 1990 and is a genuinely Greek organization which takes its own path based on circumstances particular to Greece. More than 600 volunteers, in more than 50 countries around the world, contribute to medical and humanitarian aid missions.
“The Smile of the Child“, which is a non-profit voluntary Organization. The Organization’s main concern is defending children’s rights, not just on paper but in practice as well, providing services to children 24-hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. “The Smile of the Child” is committed to ensuring children’s physical, mental, and psychological stability
Social Cooperative Corporation “Aktein”, which is a non-profit people’s corporation, geared towards promoting individuals’-from Vulnerable Population Group- socio-economic incorporation into society. In general, “Aktein” facilitates their social integration by mainly promoting their employment.
“Social Music School“, which is a group of volunteers, music teachers and many others. A group of citizens who share a love for music and solidarity with fellow-beings. They unselfishly teach music to people who can afford tuition fees. They have proven that they do not give way to crisis and they work hard to revive the desire for education and donation.
Hellenic Society for Equine Welfare since 2006, fights abuse and torment of equine; it eases their pain with love and care; and raises Greek Citizens’ awareness on proper conduct and handling of equine.
