As part of these actions, the Pediatric and Dental Mobile Unit will be stopping in the Municipality of Athens on Saturday, 8th and Sunday 9th of June, at Kalfopoulio Healthcare Centre (1st Municipal Health Clinic), located on 78, Solonos Street. This particular action is conducted in cooperation with the Municipal Health Clinics and the Counselling Centres of the Municipality of Athens.
The Mobile Unit offers the following services:
• Free pediatric health care, diagnostic tests, dental check-ups and dental care
• Free medication: providing free essential medicines for children
• Preventive care and health awareness
• Vaccination coverage to uninsured children
Since 2003, the Pediatric and Dental Mobile Unit, which was created by Médecins du Monde with the support of Vodafone, has been offering its scientific services to all those who are in need. Up until today, 54,000 children, aged 4-12 years, have received the necessary nursing and healthcare, in 30 islands and 45 prefectures of Greece.
SKAI’s participation comes to support Vodafone and Médecins du Monde in their many years’ joint effort, with activities scheduled for selected Municipalities of Attica and Thessaloniki. Their goal is to raise health awareness and provide health care to even more children via the Mobile Unit.
