As part of these actions, the Pediatric and Dental Mobile Unit, on Saturday, 19th and Sunday 20th of October, will be in Municipality of Athens, parked at the Municipal Market of Kypseli, on 42, Fokionos Negri Street. This particular action is carried out with the collaboration of the Municipality of Athens, which actively promotes cooperation and joint actions of State and Private Organizations. To this end, Municipality of Athens will staff the action with a dentist and a health visitor.
The Mobile Unit offers the following services:
– free pediatric health care, diagnostic tests, dental check-ups and dental care
– free medication: providing free essential medicines for children
– preventive care and health awareness
– vaccination coverage to uninsured children
Since 2003, the Pediatric and Dental Mobile Unit, which was created by Médecins du Monde and the support of Vodafone, has been offering its scientific services to all those who are in need. Up until today, 55,000 children, aged 4-12 years, have received essential nursing and healthcare, in 30 islands and 45 prefectures of Greece.
Since 2012, SKAI’s participation comes to support Vodafone and Médecins du Monde in their many years’ joint efforts, with actions carried out in selected Municipalities of Attica and Thessaloniki. Their goal is to raise health awareness and provide health care to even more children via the Mobile Unit.
