The accommodation facility for unaccompanied minors is situated in Paiania and has the capacity to host up to 100 persons. It hosts boys between 10 and 16 years old in a modern building of 1950 m², which, apart from the dormitories, hygiene and kitchen facilities, has vast inner spaces for activities, as well as an outside field of 3,000 m² with a tree-garden, a patio, an open-air auditorium for cultural and social interactions, a greenhouse and an open-air playground.

The services provided to the unaccompanied minors during their stay at the accommodation facility are:

• Housing, nutrition and provision of the essentials
• Legal support / Information
• Social Consultancy
• Psychological Support
• Primary health and medical care, cooperating with other projects/facilities of our Organization
• Helping the children to adapt and integrate within the local social and cultural background
• Organizing educative and entertaining events and activities in order to creatively utilize the children’s leisure time

The accommodation facility for unaccompanied minors opened its gates in September 29, 2016 and from May 1, 2016 until December 31, 2016 it is a part of the project “Emergency support to assist most vulnerable migrants stranded in Greece”, which is funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund and realized with the support of the International Organization for Migration.
