Doctors of the World, in cooperation with the International Organization of Migration, are implementing the project “Emergency Response in Accommodating Unaccompanied Migrant Children – ERAcUMiC”.  This project corresponds to the opening of hotels in Athens and in Northern Greece as an emergency response to the presence of Unaccompanied Child Migrants on the Greek islands. Doctors of the World provides three (3) medical mobile units including one driver and one doctor per unit who offer Primary Health Care services on a weekly basis in each hotel. The organization also provides nurses operating in a daily basis in each hotel.

Doctors of the world’s staff begun operating in January 2018 and will cease its activities at the 15 of July 2018 according to the “Emergency Response in Accommodating Unaccompanied Migrant Children – ERAcUMiC” project which is funded by the Asylum, Integration Migration and Integration Fund of the European Union and is implemented in close collaboration with the International Organization of Migration.
