“Emergency support to assist most vulnerable migrants stranded in Greece”
The project “Emergency support to assist most vulnerable migrants stranded in Greece” is funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund and is realized with the support of the International Organization for Migration.
It includes actions that aim to provide holistic support to the refugee populations in Greece and its ultimate goal is to protect and improve their living conditions. The services provided have to do with the housing of unaccompanied minors and vulnerable families, primary healthcare and psychosocial support.
The project has three pillars that lead to respective actions:
- Providing housing facilities by creating an accommodation center for vulnerable asylum-seekers (60 people capacity)
- Protecting the minors by creating an accommodation facility for unaccompanied minors (100 people capacity)
- Providing primary healthcare and psychosocial support in the open reception centers for refugees.
