Epidemiological Study

The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in collaboration with the Master of Science “International Medicine-Health Crisis Management» of the Athens University School of Medicine and the NGOs Médecins du Monde and PRAKSIS, are conducting an epidemiological study on viral hepatitis B, C and HIV Infection.

The overall aim of the project is to assess the prevalence of viral Hepatitis B and C and HIV infection in the general adult population and in specific target populations – Roma and immigrants – and its determinants, the design and implementation of awareness-raising activities and the vaccination of susceptible individuals.
