Healthcare Services in Lagadikia and Other Sites
The aim of the project -entitled “Healthcare Services in Lagadikia relocation site and Other Sites”– is to provide primary healthcare and psychosocial support to asylum seekers who are under the relocation scheme.
Since the beginning of May 2016, a medical team of Doctors of the World Greece visits on a daily basis the camp in Lagadikia (Thessaloniki) and supports the refugees living there.
Additionally, since September 1st 2016, Doctors of the World Greece have expanded their activities in order to provide healthcare services and psychosocial support to asylum seekers who are under the relocation scheme and/or who are characterized with vulnerabilities and live in various hosting facilities around Attica Region. A polyclinic has started operating in the center of Athens exclusively for them. In order to serve even the more remote facilities (in Rovies – Evia, in Porto Heli- Argolida, Parnitha, Platistomo Makrakomis, Agios Konstantinos and Korinthos) Doctors of the World have created a mobile medical team, which visits these facilities on a daily basis.
