Housing Assistance

The Greek Council for Refugees, Doctors of the World-Greece, The Hellenic Red Cross and PRAKSIS are implementing a rent subsidy and material assistance program for asylum seekers. The program refers to the rent subsidy for people facing difficulties in paying their rent, with a particular focus on vulnerable groups (single parent families, people with physical and mental health problems, victims of torture etc.).

This action (4.2.2: Housing assistance & settings for covering basic needs of people who may be in need of international protection) is integrated within a program named “Housing Assistance”, with a total approved budget of 1.200.000,00 €, and is financed by the European Refugee Fund and co-financed by the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Welfare, under the Emergency Measures Annual Program 2012.
