Message for Life

Médecins du Monde – Greece, through the project “Message for Life”, provided healthcare services, psychosocial support and coverage of nutritional needs of elderly people living in extreme poverty.

Beneficiaries of this project were elderly persons with serious health problems, elderly persons without a supporting environment, low income pensioners and finally bedridden persons.

The services of the project included medical and pharmaceutical care to persons that visit the Open Polyclinics of MdM – Greece in Athens and in Perama, immunization coverage against seasonal flu, home visits and distribution of food packages to approximately 100 persons on a monthly base.

The project was funded by TIMA Charitable Foundation.
