Doctors of the World, in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration, are intensifying their interventions in the open reception centers for refugees. In this context, teams of various medical specialties (general practitioners, pediatricians, dentists etc) nurses, interpreters and drivers are created and provide primary healthcare to the beneficiaries on a 5-day per week basis and morning and afternoon shifts.

These three mobile medical units begun operating in Thermopiles, Oinofyta and Serres on 1 June 2017.

From June 1 2017 to 31 August 2017 the mobile medical units are part of the project “Multi-sectoral Assistance to and Protection of Migrants and Refugees stranded in Greece”, which is funded by European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations and is implemented in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration.
