The project titled: “Primary Health Care activities and Psychosocial Support Services in Kara Tepe”, in funded under UNHCR and implemented by Doctors of the World – Greek Delegation. The project started in January 2020.

The project aims to sustain and increase access to a comprehensive package of Primary Health Care (PHC) and Psychosocial Support Services (PSS) to asylum seekers residing in Kara Tepe camp in Lesvos. This is achieved through the operation of a PHC Clinic inside the Hospitality Center. The overall accommodation capacity of the Site is up to 1300 Persons of Concern (PoCs). The project aims to sustain the provision of quality services already provided by MdM-Greece, as the needs of the population remain high considering that for Kara Tepe, priority is given to vulnerable families or families with specific needs. Moreover, the project aims at the provision of PSS services in, sexual and reproductive health services (SRH) and also support to (S)GBV cases, in order to offer a holistic support package of services to the beneficiaries.
