The project aims to ensure access to healthcare, and particularly to Sexual and Reproductive health as well as social support and safe housing for vulnerable women and mothers in the urban area of Athens for the period October 2022 – March 2023, with emphasis given to women and children living in precarious conditions.

The target audience is: single women and cases of single mothers, women in temporary shelters, women in pregnancy, newborns and infants, children under 12 years of age and adolescents up to 18 years of age, as a significant number of refugee families and refugee women from Ukraine and Third Countries continued to find themselves confronted with the risk of homelessness and precarious housing while also excluded from essential services.

The implementation of the project activities based on the donations granted by the PMI contributions, enabled MdM-Greece to support in total 1,043 beneficiaries through the standard operation of the Open Polyclinic medical and dental services, in the wider area of Athens, from October 2022 to March 2023.

Women and Children suffering from chronic diseases had access to all necessary treatments.

Particularly the provision of services was distinguished according to the following objectives:

A) Access to Sexual and Reproductive care for women

B) Primary Health Care for Women and children living in precarious conditions

C) Health Promotion and Immunization of women and children

D) Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services to women and single-mother families
