MDM-Greece through the THI AUSTRALIA PUBLIC HEALTH PROJECT is contributing to the amelioration of the general health status and to the disease prevention of vulnerable social groups by offering accessible and qualitative care to deprived populations.

The project will provide more than 2,800 people with access to primary health care at the Athens Open Polyclinic. It is anticipated that more than 5,500 consultations, 1,700 medical assessments and 1,700 medical follow-ups will be conducted during the project, which commences on 1 June 2020.

The services of THI AUSTRALIA PUBLIC HEALTH PROJECT include:

•  Medical assessment
• Medical diagnosis and treatment
• Health promotion and awareness
• Interconnection and facilitation of referral to the public health system where appropriate
• Emergency pharmaceutical coverage
• Psychosocial and administrative support
• Ongoing chronic patients’ monitoring and follow-up.
