Doctors of the World continue to support the refugee and migrant populations trapped in the Greek territory, by providing medical and psychosocial care to thousands of people by being present to accommodation centers on an everyday basis, aiming to ensure that these vulnerable populations and social groups have access to healthcare.
Being active for over two years in the accommodation center of Kara Tepe, Doctors of the World – Greece is providing Primary Health Care (PHC) & Psychosocial Support Services (PSS) to the refugees and asylum seekers residing on the island.
For the period 01.01.19 to 30.06.19, in the framework of the project “Primary Health Care activities and Psychosocial Support Services in Kara Tepe”, MdM – Greece provided more than 10.000 consultations, hepling to sustain and increase access to a comprehensive package of Primary Health Care (PHC) and Psychosocial Support (PSS) Services to the refugees and asylum seekers residing in Lesvos.
