This is a farewell event intended to financially support Mr J.N.Kabue so that he can return back to his home country.

“I am writing to express my gratitude for all the help and the warm hospitality you have offered me. I came to Médecins du Monde on January 10th, 2011 at a very hard time of my life. On 14th of August, 2010 I had a rather serious motorbike accident and i was hospitalized at Evangelismos Hospital where i had steel plates implanted in my legs. Since then, I have lost my job but the worst was yet to come. On 20th of September, 2010 my beloved wife lost her life in her effort to cross the Turkey-Greek border, in Evros river, somewhere close to Orestiada. When i first turned to Médecins du Monde, all i knew was that my wife had gone missing. Having been trying hard to find out whatever happened to her, reality hit me when her drowning was confirmed. My wife died at the age of 46 and has left behind our six children who live in Kenya…………….

The political situation in my country has now started to improve and i wish to return, as soon as possible, back to my home country and my children who need me…………….

I only wish to take with me the remains of my wife.”
